Another new try-out. Homemade Naan and Chicken Curry Masala.
I almost changed the menu today as I started cooking quite late. These two recipes needed to be marinated and left for at least two hours. But Alhamdulillah, I managed to get everything done just in time. So my family members get to eat the Naan hot and fresh from the Happy Call Pan.
Furthermore, I have my two little kiddos to help me to finish making the Naan. They just came back from school and were eager to help out. Actually they just wanted to play around with the dough, flour and rolling pin. But their Naan turned out to be perfect.
I woke up with a migraine today. I almost scrapped the idea of preparing today’s meal, because today’s meal was really time-consuming. But I was adamant to follow strictly what I have planned on my menu list, so I still prepared the meal.
For the first time ever, I made Roti Kirai. It was really time-consuming, and messy too. It took me about one hour to complete them. Roti Kirai always goes with Chicken Curry.
I am so happy with the outcome. I did it! 🙂
Another satisfying day. Alhamdulillah.
As per my menu, I specially prepared Mee Soto and Bagedil for today’s meal. It took me almost two hours to cook, but as Hubby said, it took only 5 minutes to finish up. I prepared everything from scratch.
I always prefer Mee Hoon or Kuey Tiaw to yellow noodles. But the people in the house like yellow noodles, so I bought both.
Believe it or not, this is the first time I made these Bagedil. I always thought it’s too time consuming to make these. After making it, it is still time consuming, but satisfaction is guaranteed. I purposed made these into bite sizes. It took longer time to complete, but it’s easier to be eaten. I love to dip these Bagedil into Sambal Kicap Cili Padi. Heaven!
Since I have my new kitchen, I started to list down the menus for me to prepare for a week. I feel so accomplish when I succeed in making those meals into reality. Just like today.
As of today, I will saved the postings on the meals prepared by me in a new category – From Red Kitchenette. Just to motivate myself to be more active in the kitchen and to feed the people in the house with my own cooking. The satisfaction to see them eating and love what I’ve prepared is priceless.
